I was seen by Dr Farooqi while doing his morning rounds in the ward. An observation not only when dealing with me but all the patients in the ward. A very thorough Consultant in the way he took time to explain the diagnosis in detail and the actions required. Lucky to be seen by him and an excellent consultant for junior doctors to follow. No hesitation in taking calls personally while on his rounds to handle urgent cases and arrange actions as required. Taking care to continue his rounds where he left. Thank you Dr Farooqi and sorry for so many questions including some that were not within your expertise.

Dr Farooqi is probably one of the most polite and considerate doctors I have ever confided in. When I presented with an extremely worrying condition, he spent a consdierable time listening to my concerns and then examined me thoroughly. His mannerism was very empathetic and he genuinely wanted to reassure me that the best outcome would be achieved. He sent me to the correct pathway in diagnosis and his attention to detail was outstanding. When my results came back, he was keen to see me quickly to discuss the scans and subsequent action plans. Fortunately my outcome were very positive and he carefully explained everything in detail. He went on to provide me with advice about my future lifestyle and preservation of health which I felt was over and beyond my expectations.
I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking reassurances or advice from a cardiologist. His experience shone through during my assessments.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and excellent care Dr Farooqi has provided in taking care of my mother. I am overwhelmed with his support, understanding and communication. It is the best care mum has ever received from a Consultant. Dr Farooqi's support has given me every strength I need to ensure my mum is in good hands and we can manage her to avoid attending A&E. Though my care responsibilities are high whilst being on a full time employment, I am able to liaise with Dr Farooqi as he never fails to get back. This is amazing and it really has made a big difference on my stress level. Dr Farooqi is extremely efficient and hard working. He is very proactive and able to spare time, communicate with all the doctors my mum is under and make all necessary arrangements even when he may be extremely busy. I really cannot compliment him enough as he is superb and extremely knowledgeable. If only every Consultant cared the same way, NHS would be top rated. I honestly feel it is an outstanding support any patient can receive. I never expected this from NHS Consultant. He is Simply The Best and I pray Dr Faooqi is recognised for all his genuine care, knowledge, patience, communication and effort. Thank you Dr Farooqi.

I WAS VERY NERVOUS WHEN I HAD MY APPOINTMENT WITH DR FAROOQI . HE MADE ME FEEL AT EASE . AND HIS ATTITUDE WAS SYMPATHETIC , CARING , LISTENING AND COMPASSIONATE , HE 'S ALL OF THE THINGS WHICH CHARACTERISE WHAT A GOOD DOCTOR SHOULD BE ! THERE'S NOTHING FOR ME TO ADD , AND HE REALLY IS A BREED APART . AFTER HE ARRANGED ALL OF MY TESTS , HE MADE ME REALISE THAT THERE 'S NOTHING TO BE FRIGHTENED OFF AND BY THE GRACE OF SHIRDI SAI BABA ( GOD) ALL OF MY TESTS WERE NORMAL . AND THESE NORMAL TESTS WERE REALISED TO A GREAT EXTENT BY DR FAROOQI AND HIS VERY PROFFESSIONAL ATTITUDE . HE PUT ME AT EASE , HE WAS LISTENING TO MY CONCERNS THAT I HAD , HE WAS SYMPATHETIC , COMPASSIONATE AND CARING DOCTOR -A BREED APART ! HE IS A CREDIT TO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION . AND THE WORLD NEEDS MORE DOCTORS LIKE HIM !

Dr Farooqi put my 82 year of dad (the patient ) at the greatest of ease at our appointment . Dr. Farooqi listened very carefully very intently and gave us undivided attention. At no point did he make us feel rushed. He actually is very thorough, extremely competent and very kind on top of his professionalism and very kind bedside manner. I also appreciate that when I communicate with him outside of the the apmt, he does make the effort to reply back to me. His advice for my father was completely accurate and it has improved my father‘s health considerably .
I would recommend this doctor absolutely every time . I feel extremely fortunate that we were able to make an appointment in such a timely manner and get such great service . Thank you Very much Dr Farooqi

I am an award winning General Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in pacemaker devices and heart failure. I am also the Group Clinical Director for Medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. I have over 20 years experience in the management and investigation of all aspects of general adult cardiology including chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, blackouts (syncope), hypertension and arrhythmias.
I qualified in 1997 at the renowned United Medical and Dental School of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London and completed my specialty training in the London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deaneries. I was appointed NHS Consultant in Cardiology at King George Hospital, Essex in 2012 and Honorary Consultant at Barts Heart Centre in London. I was Cardiology Clinical Lead from September 2019 to February 2023 and have since been promoted to Group Clinical Director of Medicine at BHRUT
